Fort Collins, Colo. — Fordham’s women’s basketball team (18-10, 8-6) earned a sixth straight playoff berth by accepting an invite to the 2022 WNIT tournament, the program’s fifth in the last six years and seventh overall under head coach Stephanie Gaitley. Fordham will host Bucknell on Friday, March 18 at 7 p.m. on ESPN+ and WFUV.

The Rams are currently 67 years oldand in the NCAA NET rankings, one of the best teams outside of the NCAA Tournament field. Fordham also leads among his 10 Atlantic compatriots in NET average opponent, sitting 71st with foes averaging 120. Fordham finished its regular season with an 18-10, 8-6 league record to claim the six seeds at last weekend’s Atlantic 10 Championship in Wilmington. , Of the. Prior to his arrival, the program had only one since 1981, the Patriot League title in 1994 and the trip to the NCAA.
Last week, three Rams earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors as Anna DeWolfe was named to the first team for a second consecutive year, Asia Dingle earned a place in the third team, and Kaitlyn Downey was selected to the All-Academic Team for a second straight year, the first student-athlete in program history to do so twice.
