The answer is “All”?
Wednesday night, after a 40-game winning streak (the second longest in the show’s history), Amy Schneider peril lostwinning $1,382,000.
Rather: She lost Wednesday night East Coast Time, as West Coast Jeopardy fans were quick to point out when some East Coast-based news outlets totally spoiled the surprise by sending out push notifications at 7:30 p.m. ET, before the episode aired on the West Coast. or even in all the east coast markets. . (Jeopardy! itself would never do that.)
Small disappointments hit especially hard during a pandemic. This was no exception. Maybe it was the anti-exception.
WASHINGTON POST HOW CAN YOU
— Chelsea Cirruzzo (@ChelseaCirruzzo) January 27, 2022
Such a cruel overlap in people who DVR Jeopardy! and people who opt in to Washington Post push alerts
— Lindsay Deutsch (@lindsdee) January 27, 2022
@washingtonpost just tweet and send alerts in the middle of the episode, even in the DMV area… FYI, it airs at 7:30 here!!! pic.twitter.com/T19TpsIYvs

ok but you gonna keep ruining Jeopardy for us?
— bradnewman.eth (@legaltechIRL) January 27, 2022
It wasn’t just the Post Office.
Guys???!!! Spoiler alert????!!!!
— Seung Min Kim (@seungminkim) January 27, 2022
YOU HAVE ALL SPOILED TOO MUCH FOR ME NOW. I’M STILL REGISTERING BUT I’M DONE WITH YOUR APP pic.twitter.com/06uhlfuBmQ
— Erin Hatfield (@erininknox) January 27, 2022
I’m still mad at that. I DVR @Peril so I can watch it later in the evening and do whatever I can to avoid spoilers when there are big streaks… just to @New YorkTimes feel the need to announce @Jeopardami‘s loss with an f’n push notification. #Recent news…really? https://t.co/uzr2MqDeCA
— Sarah J. Belcher (@SarahJBelcher83) January 27, 2022
Seriously, what’s wrong with you, NYT?
This came out as a *push notification* at 735p. Peril! released in many east coast markets 730-8.
It wasn’t a news decision (you would have tweeted it after it aired in the first market if it was, ~330p) so why not wait until 11pm? https://t.co/6HeAXOspbK

.@HuffPost Thanks for the ruin @peril for me today. If you send a push notification saying Jeopardy Spoiler, do not make the preview contain the spoiler. Also, maybe just wait another hour or two. You should all be ashamed. #peril #jeopardyamy
— Kelly Jean Gainor (@steelykellyjean) January 27, 2022
Even the local news knew about it.
Hey @virginianpilot! A good local news source doesn’t send a push notification that spoils the Jeopardy! result before the show is broadcast locally!

@nypost WHY FUCK YOU JUST SPOILED JEOPARDY FOR ME WITH A PUSH NOTIFICATION #Peril #wtf
— Rose Gold Bentley (@rosegoldbentley) January 27, 2022
I’ll remember that when I renew my subscription. Bye.
— Julie Gramm (@Jagrah) January 27, 2022
Alright, let’s move on, as long as no one tries to ruin… Oh no.
