St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Birdsboro will host its annual Fall Fest on September 17.

This year’s event at 5 Brooke Manor in Birdsboro will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine.

Organizers said there would be something for everyone, including food of every kind imaginable, a barrel train ride, moon bounce, face paint and games.

Musical groups will include Dave Kline and his band, Threefold Blessing.

There will be bingo. The silent auction of themed baskets, antiques and other selections will be joined this year by a ticket raffle-style auction of kid-friendly items and a raffle for a Christmas quilt, organizers said. .

There will be an apple pie contest.

Registrations must be registered before September 10. There is a $5 registration fee.

Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue will hold its monthly open house from 10 a.m. to noon at its Golden Gateway facility at 60 Vera Cruz Road, Reinholds on September 10.

Open Link offers free courses to earn a high school diploma

The Open Link in Pennsburg offers free in-person or online classes for adults who want to earn a high school diploma.

Classes will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., from September 20 to November 22.

Classes are taught by a PhD-level instructor who wants to see participants succeed.
