PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: PM Receptionist

  1. Provides courteous customer service by responding[promptlyandefficientlytoinquiriesrequestscomplaintsandbyaccuratelyprocessingguestmailandmessages[rapidementetefficacementauxdemandesderenseignementsdemandesplaintesetentraitantavecprécisionlecourrieretlesmessagesdesclients[promptlyandefficientlytoinquiriesrequestscomplaintsandbyaccuratelyprocessingguestmailandmessages
  2. Handles all incoming and outgoing reservation and cancellation requests in a timely manner by mail, telephone, in person and through the franchise system
  3. Assists guests with check-in and check-out and manages procedures quickly and accurately
  4. Has knowledge of the area and all hotel functions and outlets, and properly presents programs to guests
  5. Manages department accounting funds, receipts, guest accounts and other forms of credit. Operates the department’s property management system
  6. Maintains order and cleanliness of the work area and surrounding hall

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: PM Receptionist

  1. Requires the ability to stand for a full shift; walk to a significant degree
  2. Requires the ability to communicate both orally and in writing with guests and other property team members, and to answer and interpret telephone calls; speak and hear and speak
  3. Requires the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment
  4. Requires an ability to perform repetitive tasks
  5. Requires the ability to occasionally move heavy objects

ESSENTIAL SKILLS: PM Receptionist

  1. Requires knowledge of the standards and procedures applicable to receiving franchises or the ability to quickly become familiar with franchise standards and procedures
  2. An ability to manage/resolve customer complaints and knowledge/understanding of when and how to direct the customer to receive assistance
  3. MUST have the ability to professionally represent the hotel; deal positively with the public; and possess pleasant telephone manners

EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL Preparation: PM Receptionist

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  2. Previous industry experience is preferred

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Night receptionist

  1. Checks all accounts to ensure they are balanced, including accounts such as set and city registers, reservations, deposits, credit card accounts, and room, catering, and banquet
  2. Transfer fees/deposits to main accounts and close all necessary accounts at month end
  3. Prepare final reports of all daily revenue summaries; view all room and tax receipts, and late fees
  4. Operates and understands internal computer systems
  5. Knowledge and understanding of how AM and PM shifts work throughout the day
