The Green Team comprised of employees from the San Carlos City Mayor’s Office, City Library, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Sangguniang Panlungsod, and City Administrator’s Office as the declared champion of the Lip Sync Battle at the Government Employees Night held at the Town Hall Grounds on Thursday, June 30.
Impersonating the famous American girl group and dance ensemble the Pussy Cat Dolls in concert, the winning team pocketed 20,000 pesos in cash.
The yellow team comprised of staff from the City Treasurer’s Office, City Assessor’s Office, City Environmental Management Office, Accounting and Internal Audit Departments, Office of the city budget and city agriculture landed second place for impersonating British band – the Spice Girls and received P15,000 cash prize.
In third place, the orange team from the City Health Bureau, Waterworks Department, Public Market and Slaughterhouse Department, and General Services Department for their performance as The Steps and earned a cash prize of 10,000 pesos.
A consolation prize of P5,000 was received by the blue and red teams for their performances as the Back-eyed Peas and Backstreet Boys, respectively.
The Blue Team is made up of employees from the City Hospital Department while those from the City Planning and Development Coordinators Office, City Engineering Department, Social Welfare Office and Development, the City Legal Office, the Deeds Registry, and the City Vital Statistics Office comprised the red team.
Was given to each group of the blue team who played as the Black-Eyed Peas and the red team consisting of the Backstreet Boys.
Ami Rose B. Lavilla, head of tourism and information of the municipality of Calatrava, Raymond Dexter Verzon, choreographer of the festival, and Randy Brando Woo, coordinator of planning and development of the city of Guihulngan, served as judges for the event. (PR)
