Pocatello, Idaho Zoo to Host Fun “Wildlife Waltz” Night

POCATELLO — Join the animals for a night under the stars on May 14, when the Idaho Zoo hosts “Wildlife Waltz,” a fun-filled event.

Wildlife Waltz is a gala and auction, which will feature many native Idaho animals, prizes, great food and local artists, including music from personality DJ Kelley Martinez. Food will include appetizers, dinner (including a vegetarian option) and dessert prepared by The Sand Trap.

The event will take place between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

“Many of our animals enjoy going out at night, so guests can enjoy unique zoo encounters not typically seen during the day,” Idaho Zoo officials said in a news release.

There will be a silent auction featuring local trade offerings, unique items and exclusive experiences at the Idaho Zoo. A live raffle will also take place, which will provide an up-close experience with the zoo animals.

“Have you ever wanted to be part of a close-up feeding grizzly bear? Well, now you could have the chance to win this prize in our live raffle. This will also include a training demonstration with a zookeeper” , officials said in the statement, “This enchanted event will be an evening to remember for the rest of the year!”

Tickets are on sale and can be purchased here at Eventbrite or by calling Zoo Idaho at (208) 234-6264.

On Eventbrite, you can get 15% off through May 9 by entering promo code ‘Athena’ at the top of the ticket page by clicking ‘Enter Promo Code’.

Proceeds from the Wildlife Waltz will benefit zoo developments, including exhibit updates, educational programs and more.
