No.14 Chapin towers over El Paso High, 77-35 in Tuesday night hoops

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Chapin Huskies continued their momentum after a 77-35 win over El Paso High School on Tuesday night.

The Huskies (16-4, 2-0) had a stellar game from the trio of Antwone Holmes, KJ Lewis and Manuel Flores. Lewis and Holmes scored 16 points each and Flores followed with 15 points to him.

It was a sight to watch for those in attendance. A spectator in the crowd on Tuesday night was Arizona Wildcats men’s basketball head coach Tommy Lloyd.

Lloyd was at Chapin High School to take a look at KJ Lewis, one of the nation’s top 50 players in the class of 2023.

The Wildcats haven’t made an offer to Lewis yet, but it’s still early days as Lewis is only in his freshman year of high school.

Last November, Lewis narrowed his college choices to 12 schools.

The Huskies’ next game will be against Burges on Friday, January 7.
