NASHVILLE, TENN. – CMA and ACM award-winning singer/songwriter/producer Jon Pardi released their highly anticipated fourth studio album, Mr Saturday night, everywhere today. The album features Pardi’s current No. 1 single, “Last Night Lonely,” which topped the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase Country charts this week, marking Pardi’s fifth No. 1 hit on Country radio. Pardi shares an inside look at the creative process and the type of songs that make up Mr Saturday night here. With 14 tracks steeped in losing, a little love and what’s in between, Pardi digs below the surface on Mr Saturday nightreturning the genre to an era of loop-polishing dancefloor encounters, screaming bar revelers, and occasional loud, quiet ballads.
Pardi will unveil the official music video for the album’s title track today at 12 p.m. CT on Youtube. Fans can sign up for YouTube Premium now for exclusive access to his live party after the premiere of his “Mr. Saturday Night” (Official Music Video) by visiting JonPardi.lnk.to/MrSatNightYT. Out of the gate, the track was hailed by Billboard for Pardi’s “signature neo-traditional country” and “clever wordplay”, while CMT claims it is a “quintessential honky-tonk standard”.
Celebrating the release of the album and her recent chart-topping song, Pardi will perform “Last Night Lonely” at CBS Matinees Wednesday, September 7 at 8 a.m. He will join the show’s presenters for a live chat on Mr Saturday night, as well as a performance on their one-year anniversary special. Pardi recently kicked off her album release with an appearance on NBC The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (8/9). Discover high energy performance here.
Mr Saturday night reunites producers Bart Butler, Ryan Gore and Pardi: the same team behind the boards of his critically acclaimed third studio album, Medicine for heartache. Nominated for Album of the Year by the CMA and ACM, Medicine for heartache debuted at the top of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and was named one of rolling stones best albums of 2019. The Los Angeles Times also listed the album as one of his best of the year, where Pardi was the only country artist/album represented.
A “hero in the making” (Variety), Pardi is known for his “enduring mark on the genre” (music line) and his impressive ability to chart his own course proving “the kind of country music that many generations have come to know, and love can still work on a grand scale” (Variety). Filled with fiddle, twang and steel guitar, Pardi continues to “apply new ideas to old country sounds” (Los Angeles Times) and “to restore authenticity to Country music” (People). Pardi is currently headlining arenas and amphitheaters across the country with her AIN’T ALWAYS THE COWBOY tour, which extends through her October 1 headlining date in Nashville at the Ascend Amphitheater. .
