Crookston City Council will meet Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting will begin with the swearing-in of new firefighters James Perreault and Garret Bengtson.
The consent agenda includes the approval of the proposed minutes of the Town Council meeting of the January 10 meeting and the approval of all invoices and disbursements from the Town of Crookston in the amount of 328,745 $.83. There will also be a resolution to appoint nominees to boards and commissions, and a resolution to approve the composition of board committees. The Consent Agenda will continue with the appointment of Custodians of Public Funds in 2022 and a resolution to appoint Corky Reynolds as City Attorney for 2022. The next two items on the Consent Agenda will be to endorse the municipal auditing firm as Brady. Martz & Associates for the year 2022 and to endorse Richard Clauson as City Engineer in 2022. The consent agenda will conclude with a resolution to designate the Crookston Daily Times as the official newspaper for 2022, and a resolution receiving the preliminary report and calling a public hearing on street improvements for 2022.
The regular agenda will begin with the second and final reading of Chapter 71 entitled “Traffic Rules” adding the definition of commercial vehicles. The next resolutions will be to approve the selection of the Facilities Assessment Consultant and a resolution approving the University of Minnesota Crookston for a Crookston Eagles Homecoming Dance Permit. There will then be a resolution to approve the request for subordination of the Fournet building by Jeff Evers, and the last item on the regular agenda will be a resolution to authorize the allocation of ARPA funds for lift station control improvements. sewers.
