Night’s Call Episode 8 Recap
Nazuna overlooked the most crucial aspect of his mutual agreement with Kou. Kou is to become a vampire one year after Nazuna sucks his blood, according to Niko.
Kou will not be considered a vampire if he does not become one within this time frame. Worse, Niko and the others will put him to rest.
Either way, Nazuna insisted on taking care of Kou. In fact, she decided to kiss Kou in front of the other vampires to pay off her debt from the other night.
After that, the two flew into the night sky, leaving the meeting place.
Nazuna, according to Kou, is an outlier. Nazuna, unlike other vampires he has encountered, is unique. He also told Nazuna that he was relieved that she was the vampire he had chosen to turn him into one.
The next evening, Kou discusses the events of the previous night with Akira. While Kou is unaware, Akira has put all the pieces together.
Now that Kou has a one-year deadline, he must fall in love with Nazuna to become a vampire. If he hasn’t fallen in love by then, the vampires will kill him.
After all, Kou knows everything there is to know about vampires, including their habits. In short, he only has one year left to live!
Akira went to school in the morning. She considers what would happen to Kou along the way. She believes she cannot rely on Nazuna to help her friend.
She also considers how good Kou is at school, despite missing the most obvious things.
When Akira arrived at school, she found Mahiru sleeping on the stairs. Mahiru claims he was out all night to have fun. This led her to believe that going out at night was becoming more and more popular these days. While Akira seriously thinks Mahiru is a model student, he, like Kou, has fun at night.
Mahiru goes out at night to spend time with her love. Unfortunately, this person is only available at night, which explains Mahiru’s sleep deprivation.
Before Akira could find out more about Mahiru’s mate, the latter inquired about Kou.
They were friends, but they didn’t necessarily see each other. In fact, they haven’t seen each other for a long time. Friendship is primarily just a label for their non-existent relationship.
Mahiru is always surrounded by people as he is a friendly and sociable person. As a result, Akira and Kou grew distant from Mahiru. Their so-called friendship was hampered by their three contrasting personalities.
Mahiru, on the other hand, is concerned about Kou. They weren’t particularly close, but he still worries that he won’t show up for school. Mahiru told Akira that he would contact Kou about the situation before they parted ways.
Akira began to reminisce about their shared childhood. It all started when she accompanied Kou to observe ants carrying insects to their nest. Mahiru finds it fascinating, but he still wants Kou to come and play baseball with him.
Meanwhile, Kou has encountered Seri again. Seri is the blond vampire who tried to assassinate him the other night. As a result, Kou worries about having her around. Seri, on the other hand, assured Kou that she had no intention of killing him this time.
They decided to have a chat near the rain shelter where they first met. Nazuna, according to Kou, wants him to do whatever he wants to fall in love with her. However, Kou doesn’t understand the concept of liking or loving someone, which makes him difficult.
Kou, in turn, offered Seri unsolicited advice. Seri decided to help Kou because she was moved by his innocence.
She asked Kou to ask Nazuna on a date! However, Nazuna ultimately rejected Kou’s proposal. She would rather play games than go on a date with him.
Kou, on the other hand, insisted on leaving by cutting off the power to Nazuna’s game console. This prompted her to accompany Kou to the cinema, where she got angry at him for selecting a romantic comedy film.
After that, the two went to a cafe. Nazuna confronted Kou about the person who gave him stupid ideas for a date.
It turns out that Seri gave Kou a list of date ideas, including going to the movies, going to cafes, doing karaoke and window shopping, visiting the aquarium and even having dinner while admiring the night sky.
Eventually, Nazuna decided to leave Kou because she thought all the ideas were ridiculous.
Back in her room, Kou thinks back to the failure of her first official date. Nazuna, on the other hand, starts playing again until she gets hungry.
Nazuna took the list she received from Kou and decided to visit him at his house. She wants to try the last item on the list with Kou since things ended badly for her. It’s a meal with a view of the city lights.
Nazuna sucks Kou’s blood in the night sky, above the city lights. She also told Kou that spending time with him every night counts as a date for her. Kou shouldn’t change things because it’s more pleasant that way.
The next evening, Kou met Mahiru. They decided to talk in a nearby playground because they hadn’t spoken in a long time. They were playing baseball with Akira at the time.
Although dealing with Akira is more difficult for Kou due to his gender, dealing with Mahiru is relatively straightforward.
Mahiru is an ideal person for Kou. He gets good grades and does well in sports, his teachers believe in him, and his family owns a flower shop. Almost everything about Mahiru is amazing, which is why Kou considers himself lucky to be his friend.
Mahiru told Kou that he had a distinct presence that allowed him to recognize him.
Akira appeared out of nowhere just as they were about to exchange compliments. Then they decided to talk about Kou’s nighttime adventures with Nazuna for a while.
Akira claims that when Mahiru is present, Kou becomes nerdy. However, Kou doesn’t mind if it’s Mahiru because he’s her role model.
Mahiru walks away from them both to meet someone. Akira also decided to go home and sleep for a while.
Kou and Nazuna meet before the episode ends. For the first time, they also held hands!
Nazuna started it after seeing Mahiru holding someone’s hand. Although she thinks it’s illegal to hold hands with a middle schooler, she gives it a shot.
